Rick Ross was warned that maintaining Evander Holyfield's massive Georgia mansion could cost around $1 million every year.
His response? He'd buy his own tractor and cut the grass himself.
The estate was originally built by boxing legend Evander Holyfield, who spent more than $20 million developing the enormous property.
It featured 109 rooms, a bowling alley, a movie theater, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and hundreds of acres of land.
After Holyfield lost the property, Ross purchased it in 2014 for approximately $5.8 million.
He later expanded the estate to around 322 acres and named it The Promise Land.
The mansion became one of the rapper's most recognizable investments and even served as a filming location for Hollywood productions, including Coming 2 America.
Some estimates have valued the estate at $40 million or more, although that figure isn't a confirmed sale price.
While others focused on the enormous cost of maintaining the property, Ross saw an opportunity to acquire a multimillion-dollar estate for a fraction of what it originally cost to build.
