Lil Baby once lost $8 to $9 million gambling in about 40 hours.
He did not trust himself to stop. So he called billionaire Michael Rubin and asked him to write a letter to every casino. The letter asked them to ban him. Baby knew he would keep gambling if he could.
He first met Rubin in the Bahamas. Drake, Meek Mill, and James Harden were there too. Baby lost $600,000 that night.
Years later, in December 2024, Baby talked about his big losses on "A Safe Place Podcast" with Lil Yachty. 50 Cent heard the story and was shocked. He thought only Floyd Mayweather did things like that.
Baby says he does not gamble anymore.
He knew he might do it again, so he asked someone else for help. He did not just promise himself he would stop. That is what helped him quit.
