The Port of Lamu in Kenya received its second shipment of heavy machinery for the $17 billion Dangote East African Refinery project.
A total of 154 pieces of equipment arrived, following a previous delivery of nearly 3,000 metric tonnes in late September.
The refinery, officially launched on September 30, is set to process up to 700,000 barrels of crude oil daily for Kenya and the wider East African region.
The project aims to produce petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, and will include petrochemical, fertiliser facilities, and a 1,000-megawatt power plant. #Lamu #Dangote
