Nigeria’s presidency has defended President Bola Tinubu’s extended stay abroad, saying he does not need to be physically present in the country to carry out his duties. His spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu is in excellent health and has been on a working vacation, including meeting investors in France. The statement follows growing criticism after Tinubu failed to return as expected following his three-week leave. Opposition figures have demanded clarity on his whereabouts. Onanuga insisted that modern technology allows the president to govern from anywhere in the world.
