A 45-year-old Kenyan man Harret Farah and his 32-year-old accomplice Saraj Mohamed have been arrested in Mandera County following a joint law enforcement operation.
Acting on actionable intelligence, Police and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers conducted a raid at a local guest house in Rhamu Town. During the sting, officers successfully recovered an 18-foot-long python skin.
According to officials at the Rhamu Police Station, the duo was on a covert mission to illegally sell the wildlife trophy on the black market, where items of this size can fetch between Ksh 100,000 and Ksh 200,000.
