Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Kenya and 46 other countries to prevent their citizens from being recruited into Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Addressing the 81st United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, September 23, Zelenskyy said Russia was using nationals from 47 countries in its military operations, naming Kenya alongside Ghana, India, Nepal, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

He called on the affected governments to protect their citizens from being drawn into the conflict, warning against recruitment through what he described as “deception and tricks.” #Ukraine
