This parasitic plant called Hydnora africana is only found in Southern Africa.
It spends most of its life underground and survives by attaching itself to the roots of other plants, taking water and nutrients from them.
The plant has no leaves and does not use sunlight to make its own food like most plants. Its flower only appears above the ground when it blooms.
It also produces a fruit beneath the ground, making it one of the most unique plants found in the region.
