Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has announced her exit from the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), declaring that she will no longer seek, campaign for, or associate herself with the party.
Speaking during a press briefing on Thursday, October 8, Wamuchomba said her decision followed extensive consultations with her constituents, church leaders, community members, and other leaders.
“My conscience does not allow me to dine, associate and cluster with people who have no regard for others,” she stated.
Her announcement adds a new twist to Kenya’s evolving political landscape as leaders continue to reassess their political affiliations ahead of the 2027 General Election.
