Kenyan arrested by Lewisville Police-Texas for Criminal Trespassing and Evading Arrest on Foot.

On September 5, 2026, officers responded to a call where a criminal trespass had occurred. Upon arrival, they encountered 35-year-old Victor Karanja Kangethe who tried to flee on foot. Officers ran after him and were able to apprehend them shortly after.

Kangethe is being charged with Criminal Trespass and Evading Arrest Detention. His bond was set at $5,000, but ICE has requested an immigration hold on him.

Arrest records show two previous arrests. In May 2025, he spent a month and a half in the Denton County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2.

In February 2, 2026, he was arrested also for Possession of a Controlled Substance and for Failing to Identify as a Fugitive by Providing False Information. He spent 4 months in jail and was released on June 29, 2026.

Since he is in the country illegally, it is unclear why he was released and not deported. Kangethe is originally from #kenya. #USA
