Iranian Official Issues Strong Warning to Regional Leaders, Saying Iran Could Disrupt Airport Operations in Neighboring Countries That Enforce the U.S. Flight Ban on Iranian Airlines.
Iran’s Supreme Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei, speaking to Iranian state television, warned that if any regional country joins the United States in enforcing the flight ban on Iranian airlines, Iran could target its airports and disrupt their ability to operate flights.
Rezaei warned that Iran would take action against countries enforcing the U.S. flight ban on Iranian airlines, saying Tehran would not stand by and watch such measures being implemented.
The warning is coming after the United States announced secondary sanctions targeting Iran, including restrictions on Iranian commercial flights worldwide and penalties for companies that facilitate aviation services for Iranian airlines. #Iran
