🚨 For the last four years, Cameroon’s president, Paul Biya, has been living in Switzerland with his family. He rarely visits Cameroon, and only when there's an important function he cannot avoid.
In 2024, he visited the country only after rumors spread that he had died. He flew into Cameroon, appeared in public, took photos to confirm he was alive, and then left the country.
In 2018, he returned for about one month to campaign and flew back to Geneva after the campaign. After he was declared the winner, he came back again to be sworn in for his seventh term as president.
The moment the swearing-in was over, he left for Switzerland, where he's currently living. He’s the only president in the world who works online and from home.
The president has announced a major military reshuffle from abroad after getting intelligence reports of a planned coup.
Note: Just a reminder, elections in Kenya should be held on Tuesday, August 11 2026 according to high court.
