Ndindi Nyoro Set to Begin People's Tour in Murang'a After Political Realignment

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is set to begin a People's Tour in Mukuyu, Murang'a, following his recent political move away from President William Ruto's UDA.

The tour is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. tomorrow, with Nyoro and his team seeking to engage residents on issues affecting the region and outline their political agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The political shift has generated mixed reactions across Mt Kenya. Supporters have welcomed the move, with some describing it as the start of a political "tsunami" in the region. Hundreds of residents have recently attended Nyoro's public engagements, where discussions have included education, infrastructure and economic development.

However, critics have questioned the timing and impact of the move, accusing Nyoro of creating political uncertainty and deepening divisions within the region.

At 40, the economist and Kiharu legislator has built a significant political profile, including through initiatives focused on education and student support.

The People's Tour is expected to provide Nyoro with an opportunity to strengthen his grassroots network, communicate his political priorities and gauge public sentiment as Kenya's political parties and leaders position themselves ahead of 2027.
