GHANA: President John Mahama just laid bare Africa's economic trap, and he didn't mince words. Speaking on TRT World, he perfectly diagnosed why the continent is still struggling for real independence.

He pointed out that the current global system forces Africa into a dependency syndrome. The most damning part of his critique hits right at the mechanics of neocolonial trade:

"We live on the handouts that the West gives us... Our resources are bought at prices that are set by the West and exported. And the finished products are sent back to us at prices that are set by the West."

Mahama's point is clear: Africa is essentially exporting its own wealth and jobs, only to buy them back at a premium. Through his "Accra Reset" agenda, he's calling for absolute resource sovereignty-meaning local refining, local manufacturing, and stopping raw exports.
