FATAL Road Rage: On August 2, 2026, a 30-year-old Kenyan man, Kennedy Kibet Ng'eno was travelling with his family and friends from Kericho County.
A taxi driver hit their car from behind near the Nyayo National Stadium along Mombasa Road in Nairobi. The assailant, Emmanuel Githua, became aggressive, smashed their windscreen, and confronted them.
During the heated argument, the taxi driver retrieved a knife from his vehicle, fatally stabbed Ng'eno, injured another individual, and fled the scene.
Ng'eno was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital and later transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead.😭
An autopsy conducted at Kenyatta National Hospital confirmed that Kennedy Kibet Ng'eno died from a fatal injury to the chest. Official reports identified the cause of death as a chest injury sustained during the altercation. The other individual present during the confrontation also sustained non-fatal injuries but survived.
Police flagged the suspect’s vehicle registration (KDD 428B) and retrieved his driver profiling data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) system to track his movements.
Following a manhunt launched that same day, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide investigators today, August 4, 2026, successfully tracked down and arrested the prime suspect, an online taxi driver named Emmanuel Githua.
Emmanuel Githua will be presented before the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Daniel Arap Moi mastered the art of patience.

It is widely reported that he was slapped on three occasions by men close to President Jomo Kenyatta.

The most documented was James Erastus Mungai, the all-powerful Police Commandant for Rift Valley Province.

According to Andrew Morton, Mungai slapped Moi twice in the face at State House Nakuru, in front of President Kenyatta.

Mungai also ordered Moi’s strip-search in 1975 after accusing him of smuggling guns from an OAU meeting in Kampala.

At one point, Kenyatta’s inner circle mocked Moi, calling him “Kenyatta’s second wife” because of how much he tolerated humiliation.

Unknown to them, Moi knew that Kenyatta's days on earth were numbered.

Briefed by intelligence about Kenyatta’s declining health, he endured quietly until Kenyatta’s death on 22 August 1978.

When Moi took over in 1978, the first casualty was Dr. Njoroge Mungai, Kenyatta’s nephew and former powerful Foreign Affairs Minister. He died of heart attack, four months into Moi Presidency.

James Mungai, the officer who slapped him, fled to Sudan then Switzerland before returning to retire peacefully after Moi showed no interest in revenge.

Dennis Itumbi Dismisses Claims of Leaking State House Information to Rigathi Gachagua

Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Dennis Itumbi has dismissed online speculation alleging that he has been leaking State House information to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, describing the claims as false and baseless.

Richard Otieno's case is similar to Albert Ojwang's. The person who ordered his murder walks free, while the people who were sent are left to face the consequences alone.

Before his death, Richard Otieno disclosed to people close to him that he had received death threats from the bodyguard of the area MP for Molo, Kimani Kuria. Just a few weeks later, he was found dead.

Kimani Kuria is a free man, but the people who were sent are in custody. There will be no justice if the person who ordered his killing is free.

Molo MP Kimani Kuria and Eliud Lagat both belong to Kamiti.

Richard Otieno was an activist and a vocal person in Molo, and he was planning to collect signatures to help in the recall of their MP, Kimani Kuria.

It was after the March 18 2002 merger between KANU and Raila Odinga’s National Development Party that Prof. George Saitoti realised that his quest for the presidency was going to be an uphill climb.

And it wasn’t without reason that he was worried.

Behind his back, Moi had organised a scheme to deflate Saitoti and KANU Secretary-General Joseph Kamotho.

What Saitoti and Mr Odinga had not realised was that Moi had his eye on Uhuru Kenyatta, the then chairman of the Kenya Tourism Board, to become his successor.

If they saw Uhuru coming, they hardly thought much of him.

Mr Kenyatta was lacklustre and looked a bit dishevelled having lost the race for the Gatundu South parliamentary seat in October 2001.

To save him, Moi forced Mark Kiptarbei Too to step down as nominated MP in favour of Mr Kenyatta.

In November 2001, Mr Kenyatta was appointed to the Cabinet.

On the day of the merger, Saitoti was shocked to find that his name was nowhere in the list of candidates.

He walked over to the President and reportedly complained loudly about his missing name.

It was the first time that many of his friends saw him complain bitterly.

But Moi dismissed him with:

'Bwana Professor, kimya! (shut up!). Kama jina lako haiko kwa orodha, basi haiko!'.

It was the beginning of the end.

Embarrassed, Saitoti returned to his seat, beaten.

His friends would later admit that he was pained.

It was the worst public humiliation.

It was then that he took the microphone and made his now most famous political speech:

'There come (sic) a time when the nation is more important than an individual but one day I will be proved right'.

Saitoti joined national politics thanks to then Kajiado politician, the late Stanley Shapashina Oloitiptip.

The VP was one of the most learned in his adopted community.

He was a Kikuyu bred in Maa land.

Murkomen Accuses Gachagua of Mobilizing Mungiki Against Officials
