Uganda has suspended all defence and military cooperation with TΓΌrkiye due to an escalating dispute over the extradition of political commentator Fred Lumbuye.
The suspension will remain in place until unresolved issues between the two countries are addressed, though specifics were not disclosed.
The move follows protests in Kampala demanding Lumbuyeβs extradition and increased pressure from Ugandaβs military chief Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Gen. Muhoozi has made further threats including the possible cancellation of a $3 billion railway contract and expulsion of Turkish nationals. #Uganda #Turkey
