ETHIOPIA: Seven Ethiopian armed groups just formed an alliance to overthrow PM Abiy Ahmed.

They announced it on Sunday, saying they’ll work together to set up an inclusive transitional government.

The group calling itself the Ethiopian Peoples’ Forces Alliance for Survival includes the Amhara Fano, the TPLF, the Oromo Liberation Army, and four smaller groups from other regions.

What’s striking is that some of these groups were fighting each other during the Tigray war just a few years ago. Now they’re uniting against Abiy, accusing his government of dictatorship and pushing the country toward collapse.
