π¨ MURKOMEN CONFIDENT RUTO WILL WIN A SECOND TERM IN 2027
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says President William Ruto is on course to win re-election in the August 2027 General Election, insisting that all the political indicators he has reviewed point to another victory for the President.
Speaking in Embu on 31st July, Murkomen defended President Ruto's long-term development agenda, saying the Head of State is already planning beyond Vision 2030, while accusing opposition leaders of lacking a clear national vision and offering only criticism.
His remarks come amid mixed public opinion. Recent TIFA polling placed Ruto at 24% support, ahead of several potential challengers, including Edwin Sifuna and Kalonzo Musyoka. However, some online opinion polls and political discussions suggest opposition candidates could perform strongly in certain head-to-head contests.
With just over a year until the 2027 General Election, Kenya's political landscape continues to evolve as both the ruling coalition and the opposition intensify their campaigns.
Do you believe President Ruto is on course for re-election in 2027, or do you think Kenyans are ready for new leadership?
