The Court has stopped NEMA from forcing supermarket workers to act as plastic police.🚩

Shops can no longer be raided or closed for selling normal, sealed products, even if the manufacturer never paid the waste fees.

Here's the part most Kenyans never knew...

Companies have been paying special fees for years so their packaging is supposed to be collected and recycled.

Yet every day, we still step over plastic in our streets, trenches, and rivers.

So, if the money is already being paid...

Why is the plastic mess still everywhere?

I have always had an issue with NEMA.

Even at dumpsites, they collect fees but never enforce cleanliness.

It feels like the fees are collected...

But the actual work is ignored.

While the rest of Kenyans live with the garbage.

Did you also just find out about these fees?

Or have you been feeling the same frustration every time you see the plastic?

NEMA needs a quick fix.
