What kind of school allows children to wear uniforms and shamelessly make “Aloo Aloo” videos instead of solving quadratic equations? This is exactly how civilizations collapse.

As a proper African parent, your child has already failed in life if they’re holding a camera instead of a textbook. How dare they learn storytelling, editing, branding, and audience building? Can those things appear in a report card?

The only acceptable success story is: score straight As, go to university, graduate, wake up at 5 a.m. every day, spend two hours in traffic, then thank your employer for sending a salary at the end of the month.

Close the school immediately... or at least that is what the stereotypical African parent would say.

But the truth is, the world has changed. Schools should not stop teaching academics, they should teach skills too.

The children who learn to build, create, innovate, communicate, and monetize their talents won’t just look for jobs; many of them will create them.

The future belongs to people who can think beyond the textbook, and our education system should prepare children for that future, not just for exams.
