Are you still calling them βprotestersββ¦ or have you already switched to βgoonsβ like William wants you to?π¨
βYesterday the President reportedly said:
"We were lenient to protesters... they have now graduated to goons." ~Mutembei tv
βThis isnβt just rhetoric, itβs textbook psychological priming.
βBefore a government uses excessive force, it primes the public mind with language. Itβs hard to justify police brutality against "youth" or "our children."
But by labeling them "goons," the state systematically strips away public empathy.
βOnce a citizen exercising constitutional rights is framed as a threat, force becomes acceptable to the public.
Police brutality stops looking like aggression and starts looking like "restoring order."
βReal question for every Kenyan reading this:
βDo you still see those young people as citizens exercising their rightsβ¦ or have you been primed to see them as "goons" who deserve whatever comes next?
βBecause the moment we quietly accept the state's narrative, they have already won the psychological war before a single officer steps out.
βProtesters are NOT goons.
βMeanwhile, the actual goons, like the panga-wielding squads in Ol Kalou, walk free with zero accountability. Funny how that works.
