Starting 1st August 2026, Safaricom has introduced lower M-PESA business transaction charges to make digital payments more affordable.

βœ… KSh 1 – 200: FREE
πŸ’΅ KSh 201 – 500: KSh 7
πŸ’΅ KSh 501 – 1,000: KSh 13
πŸ’΅ KSh 1,001 – 1,500: KSh 23
πŸ’΅ KSh 1,501 – 2,500: KSh 33
πŸ’΅ KSh 2,501 – 250,000: KSh 50
πŸ›’ Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods (Effective 7th August 2026)
βœ… KSh 1 – 200: FREE
βœ… KSh 201 – 500: FREE (Previously charged 0.55%)
πŸ’΅ KSh 501 – 36,363: 0.55% transaction fee
πŸ’΅ Above KSh 36,363: Maximum charge capped at KSh 200
🏦 Business Till Transfers (Effective 7th August 2026)

Businesses transferring funds from Business Till to M-PESA or PayBill will enjoy up to 50% lower transfer charges.

Examples of the new transfer charges:

KSh 501 – 1,000: Reduced from KSh 13 to KSh 7
KSh 1,001 – 1,500: Reduced from KSh 18 to KSh 12
KSh 2,501 – 3,500: Reduced from KSh 53 to KSh 27
KSh 5,001 – 7,500: Reduced from KSh 78 to KSh 39
KSh 10,001 – 15,000: Reduced from KSh 57 to KSh 29
Transactions above KSh 45,000: Reduced from KSh 108 to KSh 54

These changes are expected to lower transaction costs for thousands of traders, SMEs, and businesses across Kenya while encouraging wider adoption of digital payments.
